About The Position

This is a seasonal Groundskeeper 1 position within Facilities Maintenance, active during the summer months from late May/early June to August. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, either alone or as part of a team. Responsibilities include lawn maintenance and general building maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repairs. The position is classified as unskilled labor and is exempt from a written examination.

Requirements

• Experience with lawn maintenance tools and equipment (mowers, weed eaters, and hand tools)
• Some experience with general building maintenance (painting, drywall repairs, etc.)
• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division
• If assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of revised code (in Department Of Natural Resources only), must possess valid commercial drivers license
• Equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
