About The Position

The Seasonal Groundskeeper is responsible for performing ongoing landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks, as well as routine maintenance of landscaping equipment, while ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives and representing the company’s core values.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Must have reliable transportation to work.
Must have knowledge of lawn and outdoor maintenance equipment and maintenance.
Must be reliable and able to perform routine tasks without supervision.
Must maintain an active and working personal mobile phone.
Computer skills required: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and internet
Ability to endure seasonal temperatures
A growth mindset; always testing and learning.
Willingness and ability to present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner always throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.

Nice To Haves

2+ years’ groundskeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Mow lawns, prune bushes and trees, edge the walkways and give the grounds a manicured look
Operate snow removal equipment during the winter to keep all the walkways and building entrances cleared and safe
Take on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary by the property manager
Collaborate with maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for
Remove trash and debris from streets, common areas and vacant sites daily.
Empty trash cans in common areas and dispose of trash as needed.
Clean community common areas and work spaces including clubhouse, community office, restrooms, laundry room and maintenance garage.
Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the lawn care equipment and tools
Completes required paperwork.
Position may require flexible hours, nights, and weekends as needed.
Position requires working one scheduled evening per week and one scheduled Saturday per month, and other non-business hours as customer traffic dictates.
Position may require temporary or permanent reassignment of work location as directed by Regional Manager or Senior Vice President.
Other duties as assigned.
