Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in Waco, Texas. This role involves a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, signs, guardrail, and/or drainage, while adhering to all applicable regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of related experience.
Valid Driver's License.
Clean driving record.
Must pass criminal background check.
High School Diploma/GED.
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing).
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule.
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools.
Air compressor operations familiarity.
Construction or Roadway maintenance experience.
Guardrail and Sign installation experience.
Concrete forming/repair experience.
MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses).
Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator.
Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required.
CDL License a plus.
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology.
Ability to use smart phone and applications.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced maintenance operations related to highway maintenance, signs, guardrail, and/or drainage.
Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Use shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, and various small hand tools.
Operate air compressors.
Perform construction or roadway maintenance.
Install guardrails and signs.
Perform concrete forming/repair.
Utilize MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses).
Operate Wheel Loaders, Skidsteers, Forklifts, Asphalt Rollers, etc.
Carry out simple arithmetic functions.
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job.
Adapt to the latest technology.
Use smart phone and applications.
Adjust to changing work schedules.
Work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Operate hand/power tools.
Work during weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
