Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in the Dallas - Fort Worth, TX area during the day shift, mid shift, and night shift. This position is based in Joshua, TX and requires performing a variety of tasks related to snow and ice, guardrail and attenuator repair/replacement, signs, lighting/electrical work, mowing, tree trimming, incident response, drainage cleaning, debris removal, and asphalt/concrete repairs, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Schedule flexibility is a must, as there may be 10 – 20% of night work involved.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of related experience
Must have a valid Driver's License
Construction or Roadway maintenance experience
Guardrail and Sign installation experience
Concrete forming/repair experience
MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations

Nice To Haves

Electrical & Roadway maintenance experience
CDL license a plus
Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required
Clean driving record is essential

Responsibilities

Perform advanced maintenance operations
Perform a variety of tasks related to snow and ice, guardrail and attenuator repair/replacement, signs, lighting/electrical work, mowing, tree trimming, incident response, drainage cleaning, debris removal, and asphalt/concrete repairs
Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures
Safely perform electrical work at assigned areas
Work at varied heights
Use shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
Operate air compressors
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Adapt to the latest technology
Use smart phone and applications
Adjust to changing work schedule
Work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Lift up to 50 pounds
Operate hand/power tools
