This specific role is for a full-time, working Field Supervisor to collaborate with Highway Maintenance Technicians on maintenance operations in the Houston, TX area. The position involves overseeing a variety of tasks including highway maintenance, attenuator repair/installation, sign repair/installation, guardrail repair, and concrete repair. It also requires adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring safety, productivity, and compliance. Technicians will report to the project yard located in Houston, TX.

Requirements

Bilingual in English & Spanish
Minimum 5 years of supervisor/Field lead in highway maintenance
Roadway/toll lane maintenance experience
Industry knowledge of highway maintenance and/or the construction transportation field
Wheel Loader, Skid steer, Forklift, Mini excavator, etc. operator
Minimum associate degree or equivalent work experience
Experience working in the field as a Supervisor/Lead worker.
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule and answer emergency call outs
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools
Ability to read and understand detail sheets/project plans

Nice To Haves

5+ years of roadway maintenance experience
MOT Certifications (Traffic control)
CDL License a plus
Clean driving record is essential

Responsibilities
