Requirements

• Three years as a Highway Foreman 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Five years of technical experience in highway maintenance or highway construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans and estimates for maintenance operations across multiple roadway activities
• Provide recommendations on equipment, manpower, and material allocation to meet program goals
• Participate in organizing assignments and encourage clear and productive communication
• Check in progress and completed field work for policy, procedure, quality, and plan compliance
• Ensure proper safety measures are used and promote awareness of conditions to prevent accidents
• Participate in evaluating skills, identifying training needs, and supporting cooperative methods to improve operations

Benefits

• Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $60,538.00 (before taxes).
