About The Position
Goodhue County is actively recruiting qualified applicants for a Highway Equipment Operator located in the Cannon Falls shop of the Public Works department. This role involves various maintenance and operational tasks related to highways and roads. Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Two or more years' experience in the operation of heavy equipment and/or a Technical College certification in equipment operation.
- Class "A" Commercial Driver's License.
Responsibilities
- Snow plowing, ice control and sanding
- Maintenance of bituminous road surfaces
- Highway Right-of-Way maintenance
- Preventative maintenance on trucks, equipment, buildings and grounds
- Gravel road maintenance and bituminous highway shouldering
