About The Position

RS&H is seeking a civil highway engineering associate to join its infrastructure team. The position follows a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote work. The associate supports highway engineering projects by compiling data; assisting with permit and report preparation and material testing; completing elementary design calculations; preparing quantity takeoffs, estimates, and engineering plans; performing basic design tasks using engineering software and technology; preparing drawings and visual aids; and conducting field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects as needed to develop understanding of construction practices and design applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Awareness of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
• Basic knowledge of production software.
• Passion for engineering and willingness to grow and learn.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
