About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Highway Design Engineer / Project Manager to join their talented Transportation team. This role supports highway project delivery, working alongside an established team to expand the company's presence throughout the Florida Panhandle. The position involves maintaining close relationships with clients, mentoring staff, and staying updated on relevant regulatory programs, funding requirements, design standards, and procedures through continuing education and professional associations. The role also includes representing SEH at agency and public meetings, preparing project proposals, scopes, and fees, presenting proposals to clients, participating in project interviews, and conducting final inspections of construction projects, including expert-level field inspections for conformance with engineering plans and specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida
  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, business development excursions, on-site inspections/visits, occasional overnight travel may be required
  • Experience in highway design and construction of FDOT projects
  • Design experience in Microstation/GeoPak/ORD (Open Roads Designer)

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of six (5) years design experience
  • Active participation in professional organizations, conferences and technical publications
  • Previous experience with a Civil Engineering Consulting firm doing design or project management

Responsibilities

  • Support highway project delivery
