About The Position

The Percy Hedley Foundation is a large regional charity dedicated to supporting individuals with diverse learning and physical needs through a person-centered, flexible approach. Hedley’s Horizons, a service within the foundation, offers day opportunities and activities for adults with disabilities, focusing on lifelong learning and wellbeing. This vibrant environment supports adults with conditions such as cerebral palsy, communication and sensory impairments, complex learning needs, and Autism Spectrum Conditions. The service provides tailored activities to meet individual aspirations and preferences, with support from a skilled staff team. This specific role is based at Hedley’s Horizons in Forest Hall and will assist the activity lead in delivering group activities, particularly for individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years experience working as a support worker is essential.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Experience of working with individuals with ASC or PMLD would be desirable.

Responsibilities

Assisting the activity lead.
Supporting the delivery of activities within groups.
Supporting individuals to participate in a variety of activities and enterprise sessions.
