WSP is initiating a search for Transmission Line & Civil Inspectors in Nevada. This position will be primarily responsible for performing transmission line inspections and civil inspections. This position will be a field-based position that includes working in various field offices across the state of Nevada. Approximately half of the time will be working out of the field office and the other half in the field (i.e. Transmission line, substation, and telecommunications sites). Provides high‑voltage (HV) and extra‑high‑voltage (EHV) transmission line inspection and civil inspection support to engineers and project managers to ensure electric utility, transmission line, and power delivery construction compliance with approved plans, specifications, utility standards, contract documents, and regulatory and codified requirements (including NESC, OSHA, NERC, and utility construction standards). Responsibilities involve performing field inspections of overhead and underground transmission line construction projects, including transmission structures, foundations, drilled shafts, concrete placement, conductor stringing, sagging and clipping, insulators, hardware assemblies, grounding systems, ROW access roads, and environmental compliance. Work may also include inspection of substation interfaces, underground duct banks, vaults, and high‑voltage cable installations, as well as associated civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical installations. Generates accurate inspection reports, daily logs, non‑conformance documentation, and photo records related to assigned aspects of HV/EHV transmission line construction and power delivery projects. Ensures that all responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds industry standards for electric transmission safety, constructability, reliability, and system performance.
