About The Position

PEAK6 Capital Management is seeking a talented and motivated High Touch Trader to join their High Touch Desk. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a fast-moving, client-facing trading environment, preferably from a major financial institution, who is ready to bring institutional depth to a nimble, technology-forward trading firm. The successful candidate will work alongside PEAK6 traders and external brokers to execute complex, large notional trades across equity options, index/ETF products, and OTC instruments. The position requires a strong understanding of the product landscape, experience navigating the OTC world, and the ability to thrive under pressure, demonstrating the instincts of a seasoned bank sales trader.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience with OTC products, equity derivatives, and index/ETF trading.
Series 7 and/or Series 56 (or willingness to obtain).
Strong proficiency with trading platforms.
Comfort with Google Workspace and an aptitude for adopting new analytics tools.
Natural sense of urgency, exceptional attention to detail, ability to multitask in a high-stakes environment, and strong communication skills - both internally and with external counterparties.
Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and curious mindset, with a desire to understand, improve, and contribute beyond just execution.

Nice To Haves

Python or SQL experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage the execution of trades across equity options, index/ETF products, and OTC instruments, ensuring optimal outcomes aligned with investment strategy.
Manage the execution of over-the-counter transactions with a strong command of OTC market structure, counterparty relationships and the full breadth of OTC product conventions.
Demonstrate working fluency in options theory and its practical application in live markets - not just the textbook.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and sell-side analysts to source liquidity, gather intelligence, and facilitate execution.
Analyze trading flows, volumes, and performance metrics. Leverage and improve proprietary trading tools, and bring an appetite for AI-powered analytics and modern market research approaches.
Manage and disseminate value-add research and market color to the broader trading team.
