About The Position

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services. This role involves executing high throughput process development (HTPD) experiments with BSL-1 and BSL-2 biological agents and viruses. The engineer will operate and maintain laboratory automation equipment (Tecan, Hamilton) to support HTPD screening experiments, perform analytical testing (cell-based assays, biochemical testing, HPLC), prepare laboratory reagents, analyze and report data, and maintain records following good manufacturing practices (GMP). The position requires working independently, documenting work clearly, and communicating with client staff members.

Requirements

  • Completed bachelors in Bio/chemical Engineering, or related engineering concentration
  • One year of general lab experience with mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays and aseptic technique
  • Automation experience with TECAN and Hamilton systems, including with coding/scripting
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Execute high throughput process development (HTPD) experiments with BSL-1 and BSL-2 biological agents and viruses.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory automation equipment (Tecan, Hamilton) to support HTPD screening experiments.
  • Perform analytical testing, including cell-based assays, biochemical testing, and/or HPLC to support HTPD experiments, and participate in development of new assays as needed.
  • Prepare laboratory reagents, solutions and culture media.
  • Analyze, collate, track, and report data back to client staff members.
  • Maintain records and test results following good manufacturing practices (GMP).
  • Work independently and efficiently.
  • Document work clearly and perform tests accurately.
  • Communicate with client staff members.
