About The Position

Broadridge is growing and is currently hiring a High-Speed Insert Operator in their South Windsor location. The basic purpose of this role is to set up, operate, and monitor high-speed inserting equipment used in the production and assembly of client output. The operator ensures every job is verified, materials match customer requests, and achieves assigned throughput goals. This position reports to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Demonstrates the ability to work with a sense of urgency while prioritizing tasks to meet or adjust to changing demands.
• Requires standing for 12-hour shifts, comfortably reaching 20”, and lifting to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility in work schedule, based on volume needs, which could require weekends, holidays and/or overtime.
• Promote a professional work environment and adhere to all Broadridge’s policies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience within a production environment
• Experience in the operation of material insert machines is necessary.
• Understands overall operation of equipment and their interrelations.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Attention to detail, sound judgment and prioritizing skills
• Ability to interact and effectively communicate with team members, internal staff and liaisons.
• Ability to adhere to all quality standards
• Computer skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Interpret production orders and follow in-depth work instructions.
• Operate the machine at the optimal pace for the job.
• Evaluate and be responsible for quality throughout each job.
• Complete all required documentation relevant to every job.
• Perform preventative maintenance and authorized repairs.
• Resolve all systems issues proactively, seeking guidance as needed.
• Meet and maintain all defined monthly Operator Efficiency Goals.
• Follow all departmental and safety procedures.
• May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.
