About The Position

This position is for a High School Track & Field Assistant Coach. The role emphasizes education-based athletics, developing character skills, and promoting positive coaching principles. The coach will be responsible for teaching fundamental skills and strategies of track and field, building a strong team, and upholding the Byron Center Public Schools Athletic Code.

• Strong knowledge of and the ability to teach the fundamental skills and strategies of the sport
• Possess good communication skills
• Dedicated to the task of building a strong team and program
• Willingness to attend clinics
• Willingness to help run off-season programs
• Must help with summer camps/clinics
• Exhibit strong leadership abilities
• Good organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous coaching experience at the middle/high school level
