About The Position

Learn4Life High School - Charleston is seeking teachers who are passionate about working one-on-one with students to help them soar. The role involves encouraging, challenging, and helping students grow in confidence and academics to graduate high school, regardless of their obstacles. Learn4Life High School utilizes a personalized learning model where students are at the center of the mission, and staff is unified to achieve the best outcomes. Teachers can make a significant difference by working one-on-one or in small groups to help students accomplish their individual goals. Teachers benefit from a smaller caseload (typically 40 students instead of 180), increased support from counselors and free tutors, and supplementary labs. The educational services organization, Lifelong Learning, provides all necessary tools and resources without personal financial investment. The position also offers ongoing professional learning, subsidized continuing education, and career advancement opportunities. Teachers have a close relationship with and are supported by their area supervisor/leadership. The role includes holiday, vacation, and seasonal breaks.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate or enrollment in a State approved educator preparation program and student teaching
- Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and implement an appropriate personalized instructional program in a learning environment that guides, supports, and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, completion of diploma requirements and post-secondary transition plan.
- Collaborate with other Instructional Staff and school personnel.
