About The Position

Hope Ranch Learning Academy is a private Christian school in Hudson, Florida, dedicated to serving students with Autism and other unique abilities for over 20 years. The school combines academic learning with life skills development in a nurturing environment. As the school expands, they are seeking passionate and innovative High School Lead Teachers. The High School Lead Teacher will provide a supportive and enriching educational experience, lead classroom instruction, develop individualized lesson plans, and manage a classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth. This role involves collaboration with school administration and Teacher Aides to ensure student success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (REQUIRED).
  • Minimum of 3 years+ of teaching experience (REQUIRED).
  • Valid Florida Teaching License and Certification (REQUIRED).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Clearance.
  • Must provide proof of degrees and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years+ in special education (Preferred).
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping students achieve independence.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse learning needs of students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies.
  • Provide targeted support to students with varying abilities, ensuring each student can achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment, using effective behavior management strategies.
  • Work closely with school administration, special education staff, and Teacher Aides to develop and execute comprehensive academic support plans.
  • Regularly assess and adjust instruction based on student progress, maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and reports.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated with the latest educational strategies.
