About The Position

The Upper Darby School District is seeking applicants for a full-time Upper Darby High School Math Teacher position. This is a permanent position beginning August 2026. The job goal is to participate, as a member of the instructional staff, in directing the learning of high school students. Such participation shall be directed toward attainment of general and specific objectives of the curricula of the school, and of the school district. The Upper Darby School District's mission is to provide a comprehensive educational program that develops all learners into critical thinkers, with effective communication skills, empowering them to adapt to an ever-changing world. Students will demonstrate integrity and confidence while cultivating a learner's mindset in pursuit of personal excellence and service to others.

Requirements

• PA Instructional Certificate: Math 7-12
• BA required in appropriate major study
• Knowledge of content in area of certification
• Classroom/group management skills
• Ability to use instructional materials and equipment
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Instructional skills
• Planning Skills
• Human Relations Skills
• Strong communication and motivational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with, instruct, and work with students, staff and parents/guardians

Responsibilities
