About The Position

iQ Academy, Los Angeles delivers online/virtual home based instruction to K-12 students in California. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to complete approximately 4-6 hours of coursework daily and log attendance. We use the K12, inc. curriculum as the basis for instruction and you will teach via the Engageli platform. Teachers instruct students online daily both synchronously and asynchronously. High School Career Technical Education (CTE) teachers carry a caseload of both content & homeroom students. They meet with content students throughout the week in their virtual classrooms to provide direct & targeted instruction, as well as support students in coursework, provide additional one-to-one support, & feedback, & grade work within three days of submission. Teachers build lasting relationships with their homeroom students through regular communication throughout the school year & monitor attendance, progress, & engagement, providing interventions when necessary to ensure students remain engaged & learning.
