Westbury Christian School is seeking a passionate High School Spanish Teacher to join our Houston, TX, team. Requirements

Committed Christian who is a faithful member of a local Christian church.

Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
Valid teaching certificate.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Creative, motivated, and dedicated to helping students reach their full potential.

Nice To Haves

High school Spanish teaching experience preferred (Spanish I-IV; AP Spanish); new graduates with strong enthusiasm for LOTE education are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver dynamic lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum, Christian values, and state standards.
Integrate faith and learning in meaningful and relevant ways.
Create a supportive classroom environment where students feel confident learning a second language.
Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve performance and language skills.
Develop and support a comprehensive Spanish language program that meets diverse student needs.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and other community initiatives.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and support.
Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.
Uphold the school's mission, values, and policies.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success and the overall school community.
Attend faculty meetings, professional development days, and school events as required.
Support and participate in the school’s faith development programs.
