Requirements

BA/BS or higher degree with a major in one or more of the following areas: Curriculum, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Content Area (Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Economics, Geography, Biology, Physics, Reading, Early Childhood Education, or similar).
Valid Oregon Teaching License and endorsement(s) from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in the State of Oregon.
Willingness to teach any qualified subject area.
Must meet Highly Qualified Requirements with endorsed areas of assignment.
Skills to motivate students.
Skills to communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds.
Skills to direct support personnel.
Skills to evaluate performance.
Knowledge of age appropriate teaching methods.
Knowledge of state curriculum framework.
Knowledge of education code.
Knowledge of appropriate instructional subjects.
