Invictus Academy of Richmond is seeking exceptional individuals to join their team as athletic coaches. This role involves teaching and modeling principles of fair play, teamwork, sportsmanship, effort, and self-improvement through athletics. The coach will be responsible for leading practices and conditioning, teaching sport-specific skills, strategy, and player development. The position requires professionalism, responsibility, and collaboration with students, families, and colleagues. The coach will ensure compliance with CIF, OAL, and BACSAC regulations, oversee practices and games, manage equipment and uniforms, assist with injury prevention and care, follow budget and transportation procedures, enforce school disciplinary policies, act as a liaison between the school and parents/AD/Leadership, coordinate banquets/awards, and maintain respectful relationships with athletes. Professional responsibilities include fostering open communication, setting high expectations for academics and sportsmanship, developing trusting relationships, encouraging risk-taking and learning from mistakes, supervising students in-person, and upholding core values such as purpose, perseverance, productivity, growth mindset, integrity, leadership, joy, gratitude, mindfulness, and kindness. The coach will also perform other reasonable duties as assigned by their supervisor.
