About The Position

Cristo Rey Columbus High School is seeking a full-time High School Science Teacher. This role is within a Catholic high school that prepares students for college, career, and character development through a college-prep curriculum, a unique work-study program, and faith-based education. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required
Appropriate state certification/license: as required by the grade levels and subjects taught
Religious Education certification as required by the diocese

Masters preferred
Experience working with students who represent a variety of cultures, races, ethnicities, and linguistic backgrounds preferred

Assist students in mastering the skills and information in the school curriculum.
Help students grow in faith and responsibility.

Know and understand the content for which they have instructional responsibility.
Use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate, and ensure student learning.
Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student.
Create Christ-centered learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students.
Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators, and the faith community to support student development, learning, and faith.
Assume responsibility for their professional academic/spiritual growth, performance, and involvement as an individual and as a member of a Catholic learning community.
