High School Science Teacher
About The Position
Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Science Teacher in our High School building for the 2026-2027 school year. RACS is a public charter school, primarily serving students from the city of Rochester, with over 90% of our students identifying as an individual of color. We are a college preparatory school and use data to determine how best to foster student growth. RACS seeks to prepare all graduates for active citizenship. We are seeking teachers who are self-directed, committed and independent. RACS teachers are team players who work collaboratively, including when planning curriculum. Candidates should know or be ready to learn responsive lesson planning practices. Join the cutting edge of school reform in Rochester! Requirements
- New York State certification for Science grades 7-12th (out-of-state certification will be considered)
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or completed a teacher certification program
- Self-directed, committed and independent
- Team players who work collaboratively
- Know or be ready to learn responsive lesson planning practices
- Eligible to work in the US
