About The Position

Helix Community Schools is seeking an experienced High School Principal (Instructional Leader) with a proven track record of successfully leading school turnaround efforts. We are looking for a results-driven instructional leader who has done this work before and can demonstrate measurable success improving academic performance, developing teachers and leaders, strengthening school culture, and implementing effective systems of accountability. The ideal candidate will bring the experience, leadership, and sense of urgency necessary to move a school forward while building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree preferred.
Appropriate educational leadership certification or eligibility as required.
Previous school leadership experience, preferably at the high school level.
Demonstrated experience successfully leading or significantly contributing to a school turnaround.
Proven record of producing measurable academic growth and improved student outcomes.
Experience developing teachers and instructional leaders.
Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and data-driven decision-making.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Candidates should be provided to provide specific examples and measurable evidence of previous school turnaround and leadership success.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute school improvement and turnaround strategies focused on measurable student outcomes.
Set clear academic goals and use student performance data to drive decisions and monitor progress.
Develop, coach, and evaluate teachers and instructional leaders to strengthen classroom instruction.
Establish strong systems of accountability, progress monitoring, and consistent execution.
Build and maintain a positive, structured, and academically rigorous school culture.
Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing faculty and staff.
Build trust and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community stakeholders.
Ensure school operations, resources, and priorities align with academic goals and organizational expectations.
