At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts (BBBSEM), we believe every child deserves a mentor to ignite and defend their potential. Our mission is to promote the healthy development of children through nurturing one-to-one friendships with caring adults, supported by trained staff. We are funded by generous donors. As a Program Coordinator within our Big Futures programming, you will shape the growth of our Big Futures Mentoring program model as we expand the number of youth we serve. You will be embedded within a local high school, working directly with students, school staff, and volunteer mentors to support and engage students. Responsibilities include teaching a weekly class, organizing monthly mentor-mentee events, screening and training volunteer mentors, and counseling mentors and mentees. You will be the primary point of contact for youth, mentors, and staff, implementing a curriculum to help youth achieve their potential and explore post-high school pathways. Language capacity beyond English, especially Spanish, is preferred due to working with non-native English speakers.
