Final compensation will be determined in accordance with NCSS policy and applicable laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Math Education, or a closely related field preferred.
- Valid teaching license or certification in secondary science – or licensure eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Teach high school-level mathematics in a small classroom setting, managing daily instruction and promoting positive classroom behavior.
- Contribute to a positive school culture and help students meet both academic and personal growth goals
- Develop and implement lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and projects that align with academic standards while remaining responsive to student interests and learning levels.
- Adapt instruction and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with IEPs or behavioral support plans.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of academic progress and classroom updates.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including special educators, behavior consultants, and administrators to ensure individualized support for each student
