About The Position

Hamilton County Schools is seeking a student-focused high school mathematics teacher. The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess instruction aligned with Tennessee state standards; design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes; and differentiate instruction for learners’ needs. The position includes collaborating with colleagues and support staff, building respectful relationships with students and families, maintaining a structured classroom, and participating in professional development and reflection. The district serves nearly 75 schools and is committed to helping all students thrive.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Tennessee teaching license in 6-12 Mathematics or current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program.
• Strong content and classroom management skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to high expectations and academic achievement for all students.
• Openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth.
• Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially.

Benefits

• Starting salary of $50,000, with the salary scale based on education and experience.
