About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking High School Math Teachers in Memphis, TN to provide instruction in Algebra and advanced mathematics while helping students strengthen their mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills while preparing for future academic success. The role involves teaching engaging, standards-aligned Algebra instruction, adapting lessons to meet varying levels of student readiness and learning needs. It also includes delivering rigorous advanced mathematics instruction that develops students’ analytical reasoning, mathematical modeling, and problem-solving skills. The teacher will use formative and summative assessments to monitor student understanding, identify learning gaps, and provide targeted support or enrichment to promote mastery. Establishing a rigorous and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to take ownership of their learning and prepares them for college, careers, and beyond is also a key aspect of the position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Active Tennessee Teaching License/Certificate with the appropriate secondary mathematics endorsement required

Nice To Haves

2+ years of teaching experience preferred
Experience teaching mathematics in an urban or charter school setting strongly preferred
