About The Position

Achievers Early College Prep Charter School (AECP) is seeking dedicated High School Math Teachers committed to continuous improvement of curriculum and instruction through collaboration. Teachers will be experts in high school mathematics content, particularly Algebra 2/Pre-Calculus, and possess extensive knowledge of mathematics interventions. The role involves designing and implementing curriculum and assessments, using data to inform instruction, and providing engaging learning experiences. Teachers will also be receptive to weekly coaching, manage student behavior effectively, and communicate with students, families, and colleagues. Familiarity with Google Classroom and virtual meeting platforms is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Teaching experience in an upper elementary, middle, or high school with an underserved population
  • Adept interpersonal and communication skills to diverse audiences
  • Valid NJ Teacher Certification completed or in progress
  • Expert in content knowledge in Mathematics (High School Algebra 2/Pre-Calculus)
  • Extensive knowledge of Mathematics interventions that specifically target math skills
  • Experience/comfort with online applications to enhance learning
  • Familiarity with Google Classroom and virtual meeting platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred
