Position Overview: Deliver engaging, high-quality mathematics instruction to students in grades 9–12, tailoring lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs and foster academic growth. Manage daily classroom operations and curriculum implementation with the initiative to address student needs and classroom challenges independently. Actively participate in staff meetings and department collaborations, contributing to a cohesive team environment and the school mission. Facilitate daily office hours (3:30 pm – 4:00 pm) to provide one-on-one tutoring, clarify complex concepts, and offer personalized academic guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
  • Valid New York City Teaching Certificate (Preferred)
  • Alternatively: Non-Certified candidates must hold a minimum of 12 credits in Mathematics and provide an official transcript
  • 1-2 years of teaching experience within high school mathematics, with a proven track record of conveying complex subject matter
