The Cottonwood School offers dynamic homeschooling pathways for TK-12, providing a personalized, whole-learner approach that nurtures academic, social, and emotional achievement. As a tuition-free, public charter school, we serve students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade across several California counties. Our educational philosophy emphasizes holistic learning through various activities and events, including field trips, workshops, and hands-on experiences. The Cottonwood College Prep Academy is a hybrid on-site High School Pathway featuring Montessori-inspired project-based learning that fosters collaboration and creativity. Our vision is a world where students flourish, communities thrive, and staff are fulfilled. The CVA (Cottonwood Virtual Academy) High School Teacher plays a hybrid role, acting as an academic partner for a caseload of high school students, developing personalized four-year graduation plans, monitoring progress, and guiding students and families through the CVA HS academy model. Instructionally, this teacher will teach synchronous live classes, oversee asynchronous flex courses, or both, ensuring consistent pacing, feedback, and grading. These combined responsibilities support CVA High School's blended learning model, which includes live instruction, flex-paced coursework, and community-based learning. This position specifically involves teaching online synchronous high school Math classes, providing asynchronous course support, grading, and serving as an advisor for CVA students.
