About The Position

Catapult Learning is hiring a certified Math and Reading Tutor to provide instruction to students in grades 9–12 at St. Pius X High School in Houston, Texas. The position is scheduled for Wednesdays only, for approximately seven hours per week, and pays $25 per hour. Instruction is delivered one-to-one or in small groups. The interventionist differentiates lessons based on student needs and data, encourages student engagement and critical thinking, maintains routines, and tracks student progress and records. The role also includes participating in training, coaching, and feedback, and performing other duties as assigned.

Catapult Learning provides teacher training, instructional toolkits, and opportunities for professional development and advancement. The company provides intervention programs for students and professional development solutions for teachers in K–12 schools, partnering with more than 500 school districts. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, valid Texas teaching certification, a belief that all children can learn, the ability to use online platforms for record keeping and communication, and a personal internet-capable device. Physical requirements include light lifting, walking, and climbing stairs.
