About The Position

The High School Liaison for Career and College Promise (CCP) educates high school students about the program and being concurrently enrolled in high school and community college. This position is responsible for counseling high school students; following established pre-enrollment assessment and screening processes/procedures; assisting students with the development of career goal(s) and objectives; helping students identify an appropriate and realistic academic program/pathway and related coursework; registering students following appropriate CCP enrollment policies, processes, and procedures; monitoring student progress and intervening as necessary; as well as providing general student guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Education or related area; at least three (3) years of professional experience; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and register high school students for PCC classes in accordance with CCP policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and assist with new student orientation, campus tours, and outreach activities for CCP students.
  • Monitor student academic progress, prepare progress reports, and connect students with appropriate campus resources and support services.
  • Collaborate with PCC Career Coaches, faculty, and high school staff to align student support, academic planning, and professional development opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between secondary and post-secondary partners to coordinate programs, policies, and credit-awarding procedures.
  • Utilize institutional systems (Informer, Colleague, Moodle, Microsoft Office) to manage data, records, and reporting.
  • Coordinate use of PCC facilities for high school programs and events.
  • Participate in assigned committees and represent CCP in meetings with students, parents, and educational partners.
  • Maintain knowledge of NCCCS, PCS, and PCC policies and ensure compliance in all program-related functions.
  • Engage professionally with students, faculty, staff, and the public to promote CCP student success and program effectiveness.
