About The Position

Calvin Christian School is excited to partner with High School Programs to offer an internship experience. This position is designed to provide hands-on, real-world experience supporting the school’s academic programming. The internship is for Fall 2026 and will conclude in December 2026. Calvin Christian School exists to educate God's children to boldly follow Christ for kingdom service. The school is a diverse group of Christians working together to help children achieve academic excellence and grow in faith in order to answer God’s call to transform the world.

  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently during shift.
  • Understand the speech of another person.
  • Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
  • Final candidates will be required to complete a background check, consistent with applicable laws.
  • Background checks will be conducted in compliance with all applicable federal and state statutes, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and all other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Information collected from previous employers and other sources will be limited to that which is lawful and job-related.

  • Strengthen collaboration and communication skills while working teaching staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in the assigned classroom.
  • Support students and teachers at recess and/or lunch duties.
  • Learn more about student/child development to prepare students for their next academic supports.
  • Be proactive in supporting teachers in the classroom.
  • Complete required internship hours.
  • Be punctual.
  • Behave in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with others.
  • Demonstrate willingness to ask for help and guidance.
  • Respond well to constructive feedback.
  • Be directly accountable to the on-site supervisor for actions and behavior while on-site.
  • Abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of the placement agency/organization, particularly for confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Be in assigned classroom at the assigned time.
  • Maintain a friendly and positive attitude toward students, parents, staff and administration.
  • Treat all children with dignity and respect, showing love and patience at all times.
  • Provide support to staff in any way that might be needed.
