The High School Intern Clinical position, under close supervision and mentorship of clinical or professional staff, undertakes one or more assigned activities and/or projects of a fixed duration requiring a basic degree of knowledge and skill within a defined area. Duties may vary based on assignment and location of work (front desk, patient care, supply rooms, etc.). The student gains exposure to multiple clinical/hospital settings and roles within a healthcare environment.

  • CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant - Wisconsin Department of Health Services preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs general administrative and clinical/hospital duties.
  • Utilizes software or equipment to compile healthcare data and support department initiatives or patient care.
  • Performs preparation, cleaning and restocking of patient areas.
  • Completes special duties as assigned, assisting with special events, initiatives or department projects.
  • Contributes to a safe work environment.
  • Provides care appropriate to patient population and as described in applicable policies and procedures.
