About The Position

Astera Health is once again participating in the Summer Health Care Internship Program (SHCIP) to provide students with a chance to work in a health care setting. The program gives interested students experience in the medical care environment and exposure to a variety of opportunities. This work schedule will consist of Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00am - 5:00pm for a seven-week period, beginning with a MANDATORY orientation on Tuesday, June 16 and concluding with a wrap-up session tentatively scheduled for Thursday, July 30. Due to the limited number of internships available, applicants will be required to schedule an interview between May 13 - 23. Area students who are between their junior and senior year of high school are eligible to apply. All interested students must submit an employment application with the following: Resume Cover letter Letter of recommendation from a teacher (preferably a health occupations or science educator) at your school Please note: applications submitted without all three components will not be considered.
