About The Position

This is a .6 FTE non-continuing leave replacement position for an International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator at Edmonds-Woodway High School that begins upon hire through January 24, 2027 ONLY. Preference will be given to candidates that currently have an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement. SIOP training and GLAD training offered by the Multilingual Education Department will be required for all new employees unless they can show evidence of having completed SIOP and GLAD training previously. Training will need to be completed within the first two years of employment.

Requirements

Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate.
SIOP training and GLAD training (or evidence of prior completion) required within the first two years of employment.

Nice To Haves

Currently have an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement.
Previous experience as an IB Coordinator, IB Teacher, or IB Examiner.

Responsibilities

Coordinate International Baccalaureate (IB) programs at Edmonds-Woodway High School.
Engage and support all students in learning.
Create learning environments that promote student autonomy, interaction, competence and choice.
Meet the diverse needs of Edmonds students and use all possible resources to meet this diversity.
Make reasonable accommodations for individual cognitive, physical, emotional and social needs.
Promote high standards of learning for all and communicate these standards to all students.
Assist students who need physical support or exhibit challenging behaviors.
Communicate with others regularly.
Perform manual work using hands or fingers.
Occasional reaching, bending, or twisting.
Move objects regularly weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Perform close-range tasks and adjust focus as necessary.
