About The Position
Glendale School District is seeking High School Girls Assistant Basketball Coach applicants. This position is contingent on the State's guidance providing approval to start the sport program and may be prorated if the program is delayed. The start date is the beginning of the 2026-27 basketball season. A background check will be conducted. Glendale SD policy provides veterans and disabled veterans with preference as required by law.
Requirements
- Must have or be able to obtain a coaching certificate.
- Must have or be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR card.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing practices.
- Guide and motivate student athletes.
- Monitor the safety of all participants and follow safety protocols.
- Develop player fundamentals.
- Supervise student athletes to, at, and from events.
- Communicate with school personnel, student athletes, and parents.
- Increase athletic participation in the program.
- Maintain equipment and inventory.
- Coordinate with the athletic director and others for facility usage.
- Knowledge of the sport.
