About The Position

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks a high school geometry teacher for KIPP Bold City High School. This role involves creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with a team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned by the school leader. KIPP Bold City High School focuses on student voice and choice, offering various academic options including honors classes, Advanced Placement classes, and career/technical education. The school aims to expand career tracks and Dual Enrollment opportunities, alongside extracurriculars and sports. Teachers are expected to align with the school's philosophies on student voice and choice and be flexible to student interests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification in 6-12 Math
• At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
• Possesses a deep commitment to creating an inclusive, healthy, and empowering community for our students.
• Passing a background check, as required by law

Nice To Haves

• Florida Reading Endorsement (or reading competency coursework in progress) if teaching English Language Arts
• ESOL Endorsement (or competency coursework in progress)
• Two or more years of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom in a relevant grade level
