About The Position

The High School Economics and Personal Finance Teacher is responsible for planning and effectively teaching economics and personal finance to high school students in grades 9-12. This role involves creating an engaging, relational, and joy-filled learning environment, integrating biblical principles into all lessons, and ensuring the physical, emotional, and spiritual safety of students. The teacher will manage the classroom effectively, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and collaborate within a team-centered environment.

Requirements

Must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ.
Must be involved with an evangelical, protestant church of like faith and practice.
Must agree with the philosophies, Statement of Faith and Statement of Christian Life Commitment of Southside Christian School.
Willing to enroll eligible children at Southside Christian School.
Must be able to articulate a deep understanding of a biblically informed philosophy of Christian education.
Must have experience working directly with students.
Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
Must be able to obtain ACSI Certification.
Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or related field is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a high school setting is preferred.
A minor in secondary education or Master's Degree is preferred.
