Requirements

High school drama director experience

Nice To Haves

Experience in teaching acting, voice, and technical theater skills (lighting, sound, sets)
Experience in production management, including script selection, rehearsal scheduling, and budget management
Experience in recruiting students for on-stage and backstage roles
Experience in promoting productions to a school community
Experience in overseeing designers and technicians for set construction, costumes, lighting, and sound
Experience in collaborating with administration, parents, and staff
Ability to maintain a safe and organized environment during rehearsals and performances

Responsibilities

Select scripts, plan rehearsal schedules, manage budgets for plays and secure rights and royalties.
Teach acting, voice, and technical theater skills (lighting, sound, sets) to students of various skill levels.
Recruit students for on-stage and backstage roles and promote productions to the school community.
Oversee designers and technicians regarding set construction, costumes, lighting, and sound, ensuring safety and quality.
Work with administration, parents, and staff, maintaining a safe, organized environment during rehearsals and performances.
