About The Position

New Covenant Academy is a Christian School serving grades Jr.K-12. All qualifying candidates must support the mission statement: "New Covenant Academy is a Christian school committed to Academic Excellence, Biblical Truth, and Christlike character." NCA is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time 9th and 10th Grade Bible Teacher (employment agreement renewable annually, pending board approval) beginning in August 2026 . The individual will work at the Warrior Campus at 3304 S. Cox Rd. Springfield, MO 65807 . The role of the teacher is to engage and inspire students to learn the subject matter and impart skills and attitudes that will positively contribute to their development as mature, capable, and responsible Christian men and women. The teacher will integrate Biblical principles throughout the curriculum, plan and implement a course of study to meet the individual needs of students, and assess student progress while demonstrating their own mastery of the subject matter taught. The teacher must also communicate and collaborate effectively with parents, students, administration, and faculty for the success of each student. Requirements

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree

  • Evidence of regeneration and commitment to the Lordship of Christ
  • A personal and growing relationship with Jesus that involves regular prayer and Bible reading
  • A clear dedication to God’s Kingdom work
  • Regular, active involvement in a local body of believers that is in alignment with NCA’s mission and policies
  • An expressed desire and calling to work in Christian education
  • Full agreement, without reservation, with the school’s Statement of Faith
  • A lifestyle compatible with NCA standards and policies
  • A commitment to implementing all job duties “as unto the Lord,” working with all one’s heart for Christ (cf. Colossians 3:23)

Nice To Haves

  • A valid teaching certificate from Missouri (or another U.S. state)
  • Experience working with youth
  • A degree in biblical studies or youth ministry
  • A strong sense of classroom management
  • Display a willingness to receive instructional coaching as needed
