The High School At-Risk Support Teacher will instruct students and facilitate learning activities aimed at promoting intellectual, social, and physical growth in the prescribed content area. This role involves creating a classroom environment conducive to learning, teaching courses in prescribed subject areas, and utilizing instructional materials appropriate for students from varied backgrounds. The teacher will individualize and adapt educational processes, provide group and individual instruction, and maintain appropriate standards of student behavior. Collaboration with peers in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) is essential for identifying learning outcomes, analyzing student progress, and developing interventions. The position also requires communication with parents and school personnel regarding student progress and advising on the educational program. The teacher will employ various instructional techniques, align learning processes with curriculum goals, and assess student accomplishments regularly. This role requires maintaining accurate records and meeting core expectations for certified staff as reflected in state standards and district policies.
