About The Position

Lewis Central Community School District is seeking a High School Assistant Volleyball Coach for the 2026-27 School Year. The primary responsibilities of this role involve leading and developing students in extracurricular activities to foster individual and program success. The coach will work under the general direction of the Activities Director and Head Volleyball Coach. The expected time commitment is from August to November, with potential additional time required outside this period as determined by the Activities Director.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in coaching volleyball at the high school level.
  • Knowledge of volleyball strategies and techniques.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all school, district, and state policies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding activities, schedules, and expectations.
  • Encourage academic achievement and emphasize the importance of balancing academics with extracurricular activities.
  • Attend, support, and supervise students at competitions, performances, and other related events.
  • Travel to all related events and potentially operate a school vehicle to transport student-participants.
