About The Position

Seeking an assistant coach for the Men’s Soccer program for the 2026-2027 school year at Liberty Common High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. Liberty Common High School (LCHS) is a charter school within the Poudre School District, offering a college-preparatory, classically-oriented, liberal-arts curriculum. The school enrolls approximately 1600 students in grades K-12 and competes at the 2A level in CHSAA as a member of the Patriot League. The assistant soccer coach reports to the head coach and athletic director and is responsible for planning, training, and coordination for high-school student-athletes, in cooperation with the coaching staff. Applicants should be dedicated to providing the best student-athlete experience and committed to the mission and goals of Liberty Common High School, following all CHSAA procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Technically knowledgeable of soccer and experience working with student-athletes.
  • Experience scheduling, planning, and coordinating activities for a wide range of constituents.
  • A proven, verifiable record of placing appropriate emphasis on academic excellence, good sportsmanship, and character development.
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, coaches, and administration.
  • Full background check required for hire.
  • CPR and first aid certified or able to obtain upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or greater is preferred.
  • Experience working with K-12 students preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, training, and coordination for high-school student-athletes, in cooperation with the coaching staff.
  • Working with student-athletes to develop skills, knowledge, and virtues in soccer.
  • Communicating with parents, officials, athletes, and coaches.
  • Working with coaching staff to implement training and game plans.
