About The Position

This role involves operating a Hi Rise reach truck and other material handling equipment in a warehouse environment. The operator will be responsible for various tasks including lifting and stacking product, putting away pallets, loading and unloading, ensuring product accuracy, reporting damages, maintaining a clean work zone, picking orders, and meeting productivity goals. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a safe and clean working environment and upholding the principles of SQF 2000. The position requires working in below freezing temperatures for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks for 8 hours on a concrete floor, which may include standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50lbs.

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to operate a pallet jack and forklift and pass the pallet jack and forklift test.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management.
  • Must be able to maintain prompt and regular job attendance.
  • Must be willing and able to work in below freezing temperatures for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the assigned tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Must be willing and able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Fork-lift experience preferred.
  • Preferred candidates will have at least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Hi Rise reach truck and other material handling equipment.
  • Lift cases of product and tack onto pallets.
  • Put away pallets of production and inbound product.
  • Load and unload blast freezer.
  • Ensure accuracy of product locations and case counts.
  • Report damaged product to Inventory personnel or shift lead person or supervisor.
  • Keep a clean and orderly zone throughout shift and leave the zone clean at the end of the shift.
  • Responsible for picking orders.
  • Maintain all goals and standards of productivity.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Uphold principles of SQF 2000.
