About The Position

Distribution Material Handler Service Wire is a premier manufacturer of industrial, utility, and commercial wire and cable. Our regional manufacturing location in Houston is seeking a conscientious and team-oriented Material Handler with proficiency with high-reach forklifts to join our organization in this full-time position.

Requirements

• High-reach forklift proficiency
• Basic math and measuring skills
• Ability to read, comprehend, and respond to general instructions and directions
• Ability to stand and move about facility for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. Assistance provided as needed.
• Company forklift operation training and certification
• High school diploma/GED (General Equivalency Diploma) or one year related industrial experience or equivalent training

Responsibilities

• Process material cuts according to customer specifications and record distribution data
• Palletize and prepare orders for shipment using a stand-up, high-reach forklift
• Work to maintain inventory stock and an organized warehouse
• Transports wire and materials throughout facility on a forklift
• Maintain safety standards and organized work environment
