About The Position
Quanex is looking for a High-Reach Forklift Operator to join our 3rd Shift team located in Statesville, NC. The High-Reach Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving, storing, picking and distributing material and products within establishment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and/or production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse role
- High reach forklift experience is required
- Experience with barcode reading guns and system postings/system records
- High School or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with WMS system is desired
- Experience in extrusion or process manufacturing is a plus
Responsibilities
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Transports materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distributes items to production areas.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
- Certified to drive material handling equipment. (High Reach forklift expertise a must)
- Transports stored items within the warehouse.
