About The Position

Atlas Roofing Web Technologies is seeking a High Pressure Boiler Operator for Franklin, OH. This role is responsible for the continuous safe operation of the boiler system, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing minor maintenance. The operator will ensure safety and optimum operation by continuously monitoring conditions in the Still Yard and Blow Still, and must be trained in Emergency Generator operation. The position also involves reporting maintenance needs and assisting with general maintenance as required. Minimal travel for training may be necessary.

Requirements

Minimum State required Hours experience with a High Pressure Boiler
Must have sound organizational skills in order to process job related data and in relation to work area materials.
Ability to provide relevant and timely information in a clear manner.
Fulfills the requirements of the position as described. Ability to follow-through on completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner. Anticipates what needs to be done and proceeds without direction in a timely manner.
Ability to think through issues and develop solutions in a timely manner
Willing to work with others and utilize group dynamic to form solutions.
Must be able to speak fluent English.
Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to calculate percentages and add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals.
Advanced reading ability – ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations. Ability to present information to and respond from questions from groups of managers, customers, employees or the general public.
Computer skills: Word – beginner level (memos, letters, formatting)
Must be able to use power tools, including electrical testing and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for following all plant rules of conduct and safety rules including all safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Will be able to operate, troubleshoot and maintain system, and all operations pertaining to Boiler Operation.
Responsible for the continuous safe operation.
Monitor Boiler to ensure safety and optimum operation
Perform minor and routine maintenance on equipment.
Responsible to report any and all maintenance related items to Maintenance and utilize the Work Order system.
Continually monitor conditions in the Still Yard and Blow Still to ensure upset conditions do not occur. This includes but is not limited to machinery, temperature, steam, air and boiler operations.
Must be trained in the Emergency Generator operation.
Assist with general maintenance as needed.
Minimal travel requirements as needed for training, etc, as determined by Supervision.
Any and all other responsibilities as assigned by Supervision.
